There's a world out there that we should see.

Day 6 - Train to Berlin

This morning, after Jess stashed all of the champagne bottles in our bags, we had a gynormous breakfast and took our last pictures with Gerhard and Renate. They were so sweet and generous to give us a tour of Germany, feed us tons and let us stay at their house for a few days…what a blessing.

We did a small shopping tour in Jena and saw the market going on. We got to the train station at 12:30 and our train left at 13:00 to Berlin.

Our backs are going to be broken by the time I have to fly out - I feel like a nomad.

We got to Berlin around 15:15. We checked into our hostel at 16:00 and dropped our bags off so we could walk to the museum ticket center and buy our museum tickets for Wednesday. On the way to the Museum Island we had a Curry Wurst (a hot dog with ketchup and curry powder)

The East Berlin Ample Man

Pit stop to get coffee...not to drink but just to hold - my hands are always numb here :(

We stopped to see the Brandenburg Tur

Finished our night at the Fersehturm - (that’s the over 600 feet tall TV tower of East Berlin). Fancy being up so high in a rotating booth WHILST enjoying a cold Berliner Kindl.

PROST!
