"Drink Ouzo….help save Greece"
Thank God I found a Greek festival. I moved to Vegas, about 10 months ago, from Florida and have been waiting for this weekend to come! I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and grew up in the Greek community. (Parents came from Greece to Chicago to Milwaukee)
My mom and I moved to Florida in 2004 so she lives there and I moved to Vegas, to follow my Hotel Management dreams. LOVE it here and loved this Greek festival.
First things first, had to get my fix.
Ι was impatient, of course, and burned the roof of my mouth because I couldn't wait to eat them.
Totally worth it.
It's been too long since I've been to a Greek fest. Felt at home. Good to be around my people.
Watching everyone dance, reminded me of my days of being forced to Greek dance but as we get older, we love it.
Nothing better than ending the night with getting my pork souvlaki to take home
I even had enough leftover for breakfast the next morning!
(Don't say "that's gross"- it was delightful)
Beautifully set up. Very large space. The dancing area, for some reason, always seems small at all Greek festivals. I, personally think we need to revamp that BUT everyone loves to EAT so it's a toss up!
Nothing better than hangin' with the Greeks
They have great space for shops and such a variety. Greek deserts, shirts, dance attire, paintings, crosses, spices, books…etc.
