There's a world out there that we should see.

LIVE. LIFE. OUT. LOUD.

NYC - Day 1 - September 15, 2011

Jesse and I planned NYC months ago when I was still living in FL and it finally came!!! Our flights were around the same time (too early) and were due to land within 10 minutes from each other. When I got dropped off at the airport, the guy taking my luggage asks, "Where are you flying to?" Me: "New York", Him: "Oh you didn't hear, that flight is delayed until 11:30am (and it was 6:30am)" I just look at him and say, "Are you serious right now? Stop playin" and he starts laughing. He was kidding!! I was all, you don't even know me 2 minutes AND it's 6:30 in the morning and you got jokes! NOT FUNNY. Woke me up fast.
Thank God for direct flights. I will pay extra any day to fly directly. Just 2 hours later....we arrived in New York City!!

I promise I'm not a bum!

Bout to bring the racket like Jesse and Kristina!!! AAYYEEE!

Our first cab ride from the airport to the hotel. It was more fun watching/listening to Jesse's reactions cause I was just looking at all the buildings and people. Maybe I'm not afraid when people drive crazy cause I grew up with my brother hahaa

This was our most AWESOME room!! It was like a dorm room and had blue lights!! BUT in the prime location. It's called the Manhattan hotel and it was 2 blocks from Times Square (which we had a WHOLE discussion about "Times Square" and if it was "Time Square" or with an S - confusing)

SO EXCITED that Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is out and I got to drink it for the first time this year in NYC!!!

This face even scares me.

We walked to the empire state building...amazing view

It was drizzling and this pic makes me laugh

I was trying to put my hood up and it was windy...it was a dilemma but we got it!

Then Jesse decided it was a good idea to take this bike thingy back to the hotel and it ended up being $44!! HAHAHA We were like "HOW MUCH?!" Funny story

Jesse just chillin' waiting for us to go see a movie

It's SO fun to just sit around wherever and people watch! We were outside the cinema waiting to go see "One day" (DON'T SEE IT) and it's just awesome being surrounded by tons of people and lights

I'm a ninja

The entrance to our hotel. They just love the lights!!

First day was a success. We walked everywhere (minus our expensive bike ride), saw some sights, saw a movie, laughed A LOT...

Adapt or Die

I've come to terms that we meet people and leave people often in life. Just hang on to the memories...

This is a signed picture frame from the entire front desk and then some. I came home from a very long day at work and saw this large cardboard package and was simply in awe once I opened it. I'm so blessed, words can't explain the gratitude I feel.

My new obsession - crosswords! (Though I will admit that I'm far better at Sudoku than the crosswords BUT I will not give up!) I like to do these on my break and at night before I fall asleep. Relaxing.

Spending every other weekend with my niece is absolutely priceless. Yes, I feel overwhelmed at times though she's probably the best kid ever BUT I love every minute. Feels so good when I hear "Auntie T T!" - too cute (this is us across the street from my place in Madison, at the park)

My two most popular stress relievers: Shooting around and playing soccer, normally before I go for a long jog. I don't love the jogging part but I've found out that I can run longer (and don't mind it) once I've warmed up with one of these activities. (PS - I start my outdoor coed soccer league Aug 24th...SO excited)

My favorite thing about this hoop...listening to the ball swish through the chain net :)

I would never own a sports car like the one below simply because they are so uncomfortable and annoying to have to get in and out of BUT I must say that I LOVE hearing the engine and driving it around work every once in a while.

Lastly...I've created yet another Kristina cave for my room. I was waking up at 8am (before I even started working) because the sun would shine in my room through the blinds! I had it, so I thumb tacked my black out curtains up LOL...love love love it

Home is most certainly wherever you choose to be. And the same with happiness...we choose to be happy or not. People make life worth living. Friends make life that much easier to get through. We should always learn through each and every experience in life. Don't be afraid to take a risk every once in a while. Even IF it doesn't go the way "as planned" it's OKAY, you live, learn and LIFE GOES ON whether you want it to or not SO you might as well go with it!

Too intense even for me at this hour.

New York will be September 15 - 18...see you then

The move from Orlando to Madison

Well! I've now been in WI for 18 days and LOVING IT! I start work tomorrow (7/12) so these past couple of weeks, I've been staying in Milwaukee and basically going out every night. Had to get it out of my system and I did!

Brittany and Bill's wedding on June 25th was AWESOME! They've been dating for 9 years so it was about time! It was also great seeing everyone again from middle school and high school. Being back home brings a sense of familiarity and it's comforting. I missed the hospitality that the Midwest people always bring so it's simply great to be back.

My brother (Bill) and I moved into a townhouse last week in Madison, WI. It's about 10 minutes from the car dealership that Bill is the General Manager at. I'll start working there tomorrow as the Internet Manager and once I learn the product, I'll get into Sales. I'm looking forward to learning something new and a new quest. I LOVED the resort I was working for the last 3 years but boy did it take a toll on me. I've learned SO much from there and had THE BEST team to develop me and it was unforgettable.

I'll return in a week or so to give an update on the new job!!
