There's a world out there that we should see.

DECISIONS WE MAKE

November 20, 2012

(I must really want to go back to October because I continuously start typing October for all of my dates.)

You know, sometimes decisions that we make hurt others. Not because they are wrong decisions (and no one is to judge if a decision is wrong or right, really) but because they don't understand. (Either they are choosing not to listen and comprehend or they literally just don't understand or both) They aren't where we are therefore they can't relate.

There are people (friends or acquaintances) that will be a part of your life permanently, just for a season, or perhaps just for a moment. Cherish the time that you do have, when you have it. Sometimes, it's simply time to move forward and we have to leave some people behind. If/when that time comes that you have to make decisions and part ways from certain people, know that it will better YOURSELF and YOUR LIFE. You are not the only person that has ever had to cut ties with someone and felt like crap. When you think that "no one understands and feels the way you do" ... SOMEONE HAS FELT THAT EXACT SAME WAY. You are never alone. Someone, somewhere has felt the same way. Try to steer away from those lovely self pity parties that we tend to soak up quickly and choose to be strong.

Some people are toxic to have in your life. You can still love them but it's vital for you to be apart in order to go on. Decisions, such as these, will help you grow as an individual.

Be content with your decision(s). Be confident. It's great if you know what you want but EVEN BETTER if you know what you don't want.

Live. Life. Out. Loud.

IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE

Don't laugh.

I always have two smart water, water bottles, in the fridge. One morning, I only noticed one. I glanced around the kitchen counter, looked around the table and looked in the living room (which is shared with the kitchen) to see if I left it on either one of the night stands in there.
Nothing.
Or at least I couldn't see anything.
This went on for 2 days, no lie.
And every time I went to the fridge, I'd just stare into the living room thinking that I knew I didn't throw one of the bottles away. It wasn't a big deal, I just knew it had to be somewhere.

The entire time I kept looking in the living room for that other water bottle, it was on the ottoman in the middle of the living room.
IN PLAIN SIGHTbut I couldn't see it for some reason.

Lindsey (my roomie) was sitting on the couch and I'd just gotten home from work around midnight or so and I was talking to her and noticed the water bottle. I asked, "Is that mine?!" and she said, "Yea, it's been sitting here the past 2 days" and I said, "I've been looking for it the past 2 days! And I kept looking in the living room because I knew it had to be around!"

My point? (I apologize for it taking so long to get to my points :)

It's the same concept in our lives when we're searching for something that's RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR FACES!

It's like we (all people, anyone and everyone) are constantly searching for "something" and most of the time, the answer is staring right at us but we're blind to see it because of all the junk that's in the way.

Do you have junk in your life that's hindering you from moving forward?
Choose to make changes.
Once the decision has been made to move forward, actions must follow.
Words without action mean nothing.

Ask God for less of you and more of Him.

"People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy." -- Proverbs 28:13

MY SAVIOR MY GOD

I was driving home and this song "My savior my God" by Aaron Shust was playing and I LOVE this song. I'm reminded that God sacrificed his ONLY son to give us sinners a chance. How SELFLESS. Jesus was faced with the very same temptations, here on earth, as we are today but the only difference is that he was/is PERFECT and always fought with the word of God. I truly enjoy this song because God is the only constant in our lives. He is always always there.

Instead of being just thankful this month of November, let's try to be more conscious of our words and be thankful (out loud) every day...

MY SAVIOR MY GOD

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at his right hand
Stands one who is my Savior

I take him at his word and deed
Christ died to save me, this I read
And in my heart, I find the need
Of him to be my Savior

That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You called it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves
My Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God he's always gonna be

Yes living, dying let me bring
My strength, my solace from the spring
That he who lives to be my king
Once died to be my Savior

That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You called it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves
My Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God he's always gonna be
